I took this photo in the eastern Sierras, off Highway 395, at the Owens Gorge Road. I love those mailboxes and every time we travel to the Sierras, we drive by them just to see them!

Skywatch Friday

Hubby and I woke up early our last morning this summer in Chinle, Arizona. There had been a terrific thunderstorm the previous night and we wanted to head out to Canyon de Chelly early in the morning to meet the sunrise. This is the sky that we saw. Isn't it beautiful? This is up on top of Canyon de Chelly.

Great shot. Morning shots are so elusive. MB

The sky is fabulous, but the trees in the foreground make it even more so. Excellent capture!

Enlarged this photo is absolutely stunning with the lacework of trees against the lightest part of the sky. The colours are just spectaculsr.
