Christmas in Napa Valley
We sometimes spend Christmas in the Napa Valley. My sister-in-law lives there and, if she's home, we drive up to see her. The vineyards of Napa look so different in the winter. Their leaves are red, if the vines have any at all! There might still be some withered grapes on the vines, but they are resting. The valleys are lush and green. It is a quiet time for the vineyards and a time for us to get together with our family members who are so far away. Sometimes we get together at Burgess Cellars for a family dinner.

swap meet fun!
This weekend's swap meet in the mountains above Palm Springs was fun! There was lots of fresh produce and many vendors had interesting items to sell! Look at the baby shoes! Aren't they cute? The little hobby horse was adorable! And, there were tables full of knick-knacks. Look at the cowboy silouettes! I bought apples, carrots, and fresh pears!

fall in the Grand Tetons, Wyoming
Hubby and our son took a "boys trip" to Wyoming in September, 2006. I stayed home because I couldn't take the time off school. They drove through St. George, UT, Idaho Falls, and up into Wyoming. I stayed home and adopted two horses off a feedlot in WA state, Beauty and Gigondas! HEHEHEHEHE! He'll NEVER leave me home alone again! Anyway, these are some of the fall pics he took on that trip.

Where do I begin?
Decisions, decisions! Where should I begin? Let's see...we've been married now for 36 years. And, in those 36 years, we have traveled to 44 states and Mexico. I've been to some states that he hasn't, such as Alaska, Oregon, and Washington. We've both traveled through Southern states. Unfortunately, many of our travels were before we both got our digital cameras! So, these photos on this website will only go back to about 2003. But, in the meantime, we've covered a lot of territory and a lot of miles! Here's a sample of our travels: a bridge leading to the Grand Tetons, WY, Monument Valley, UT, Mono Lake, CA, crashing waves, Monterey, CA, and wildflowers at Sunset Crater, AZ.
Welcome!
Welcome to my travel blog, sand to sea to mountains. Hubby and I travel a lot, especially in California and Utah and Arizona. While we love the desert southwest, we also love to visit friends and family in Northern California. Come join us on our adventures!
