I took this photo in the eastern Sierras, off Highway 395, at the Owens Gorge Road. I love those mailboxes and every time we travel to the Sierras, we drive by them just to see them!

Explosive clouds~SkyWatch Friday, July 3, 2009

I am slowly coming back to the world after the shock of my mare's accidental death. While I miss Beauty tremendously, life must go on. I made a little memorial outside her corral. I miss her morning whinny when she saw me drive into the ranch.
We saw these clouds above the Sierras, outside of Yosemite, on our vacation mid-June. I thought they looked like an explosion. SkyWatch Friday for July 3, 2009.
