I am taking a blogging break after the freak accidental death of my chestnut mare, Beauty, this morning. At least she didn't suffer and went quickly. There were no thrashing marks in her corral. Beauty was a slaughter feedlot rescue herself when she was an unbroke 2 year old. I helped train her and I rode her last summer. She was a wonderful, gentle animal that died way before her time. So sorry to hear you lost your friend Beauty, at least you gave her 3 happy years. Bless you for rescuing her.
Thank you for your kind words. The dark mists that I've been living in lately are beginning to fade. It will take time. She was such a special creature.
