I took this photo in the eastern Sierras, off Highway 395, at the Owens Gorge Road. I love those mailboxes and every time we travel to the Sierras, we drive by them just to see them!

Watery Wednesday 022509

Desert waterfall in Whitewater Canyon, near Palm Springs, CA. These waterfalls only happen when there is a rain. A few days after this, it was gone! Watery Wednesday for February 25, 2009.

It looks very pretty though - even if it doesn't stick around!

That's pretty cool. I've yet to run across a waterfall of any sort. I should probably Google it and see if there is some place I can go. Great shot. :-)

The impermanence of water in those parts is amazing. Round here in SW Florida it's either feast or famine where water is concerned. Right now we are in famine aka winter, but feast is just around the corner, aka hurricane season!
