I took this photo in the eastern Sierras, off Highway 395, at the Owens Gorge Road. I love those mailboxes and every time we travel to the Sierras, we drive by them just to see them!

Yosemite lake~That's My World 072109

On the road just west of Olmstead Point, in Yosemite National Park, we came upon this beautifully calm lake and stopped to take photos. Isn't the reflection clear? It had stopped sleeting by this point and we were able to continue down the road toward the valley floor. That's My World for Tuesday, July 21, 2009.

What a lovely little lake. Don't you wonder how trees can take root in that rock? Was it sleeting there recently? We get weather like that in summer, too.

The Creator is such an artist! Your photos are so beautiful and that last one of the trees growing out of rock is stunning. Great post and nice blog. I will be back.
