Header photo

I took this photo in the eastern Sierras, off Highway 395, at the Owens Gorge Road. I love those mailboxes and every time we travel to the Sierras, we drive by them just to see them!

Fields of mustard~~SkyWatch Friday 040309

About this time last year hubby and I drove to Paso Robles for spring break. The hills were covered with wild mustard, as you can see. Sometimes the wineries will plant mustard between the rows of vines in order to put nutrients back into the soil, but this mustard was growing wild in the hills by Paso Robles. Isn't it beautiful? Nice shot. I love to see colors stretching out across a field like that. It's so pretty.

So lovely. It almost looks like you took this from an airplane. Great scenic shot with a beautiful sky.

So beautiful, especially when I enlarged it and got a fantastic view of the mountains beyond! I love your header photo, too.

Yes..it is. I love shots like these. I took a few in fields full of yellow flowers like daisy's along hills. You took a lovely one here-

Quite beautiful, and such lovely contrast with a blue sky. Love the wild mustard photo in your masthead also!

We saw this same motif on our dive from Long Beach to Palm Springs. The green hill sides with yellow patches. It was an unexpected treat.
