I took this photo in the eastern Sierras, off Highway 395, at the Owens Gorge Road. I love those mailboxes and every time we travel to the Sierras, we drive by them just to see them!

Spring break, Paso Robles March 08~~That's My World Tues, March 24, 2009

Paso Robles and the nearby coast is one of our favorite getaways. When we get tired of tasting wine, we hop in the car and drive out to the coast. It's a completely different world out there! The flowers were in bloom and it was much cooler! That's My World for Tuesday, March 24, 2009.

How beautiful the meadow is. And to know the ocean is just beyond is wonderful.

In 1964 I drove through Paso Robles, in fact I think we spent the night there. Had my four children and an aunt who was helping me with the baby. We'd driven from Alabama on my way to see my hubby who had been in Vietnam waters aboard a ship. So, I drove on over to the coast and up Rt. 1 (it is I isn't it?) and I thought my aunt was gonna die. Steep banks on one side of us, a long crash down to the ocean on the other. What an experience. Thanks for reminding me.
