Travels in my state, California, from a native Californian.

I took this photo in the eastern Sierras, off Highway 395, at the Owens Gorge Road. I love those mailboxes and every time we travel to the Sierras, we drive by them just to see them!

Monterey trip~~Watery Wed. for March 11, 2009
We LOVE to travel and several times now we've visited Monterey, CA. There's a lot of beautiful scenery there and, during our summer, the weather is mild and we enjoy getting out of the desert! Here are some pics of one of our trips to Monterey. Watery Wednesday for March 11, 2009.
You had great weather on that trip. Don't you just love Monterey? I need to get back there; it's a little shy of a two hour drive from where I am, so it's easy to do in a day. The last time I was there it was gray and overcast all day - not the best for snapping shots. Enjoy WW...
I’ve been poking around and enjoying your photos. I recognized this right away. My wife and I always take a trip over to Monterey when we visit her folks in San Jose.
Yes, any photo is available for purchase! I can print them on 4x6 or 8x10 photo paper. Just send me an email! deserthorses5@gmail.com

I've loved horses all my life but didn't get my first one until our kids left us with an empty nest! Now hubby and I have 4 horses, 1 dog, 3 cats, and 4 adorable grandchildren. Oh, and two wonderful, grown children! Hubby and I enjoy taking care of our rescue horses and traveling and taking photos.

very pretty.
These are great WW photos! There's a web cam at the aquarium there in Monterrey that I check out from time to time!
Beautiful shots!
I wouldn't mind being there taking in that view.
My Watery Wed. is on my photoblog: Carletta’s Captures.
That's a place I would like to visit. It's entwined in the history of the whole state and its mythology.
