I took this photo in the eastern Sierras, off Highway 395, at the Owens Gorge Road. I love those mailboxes and every time we travel to the Sierras, we drive by them just to see them!

African daisies~Mellow Monday for March 16, 2009

Here in the desert southwest, we have a year-round growing season. While my sweet peas that I planted last fall haven't bloomed yet, my African daisies, which I planted after Christmas, are in full bloom! They close at night and open when the sun comes up! But, they do get full sun all day. Aren't they cute? Mellow Yellow for Monday, March 16, 2009.

Oops! I'm SUCH a blonde! I forgot to include the photo!

Looked for a photo of African daisies but couldn't see one. Maybe it's my computer acting up. Bet it was beautiful anyway, sorry I missed it.

Alas, it's too cold here yet for flowers.

yes..they are. I'm just about ready to plant a bunch of sunflowers and zinnias...and vegies! These look like some I'd taken in the mountains-
