I took this photo in the eastern Sierras, off Highway 395, at the Owens Gorge Road. I love those mailboxes and every time we travel to the Sierras, we drive by them just to see them!

Weekend Reflections~Yosemite

Hubby and I came upon this lake, on the Tioga Pass Road, in Yosemite, in June this year. Yes, there was still snow on the mountains! In fact, when we arrived, it was snowing again. At the entrance to the park, it was sleeting! When we returned to Yosemite in August, the snow was gone, however, so we were lucky to be there in June. It was interesting to see how much the park had changed from June to August. Weekend Reflections for December 5, 2009.

Excellent landscape. Works well in color but I can't help wondering how it would look in B&W. Thinking of Ansel Adams.

Gulp! This is drop dead gorgeous.

You have achieved such clarity with your image AND with your reflection. Look at the larger trunk in the centre that is on a lean. I am gobsmacked.

Brava!
