evening! We arrived at Mono Lake yesterday in the early evening. We've never stopped there before at this time. It has always been about noon, for some reason. But, in the evening, the heat dies down, the sky turns pale pastel shades, and there are less people around. We actually stopped at the northern tufts area where there is a pathway down to the lake. The seagulls were mostly on a couple of rocks, screaming to each other. It was very noisy! ABC Wednesday foir August 19, 2009.

Good Morning Cheryl,
Beautiful! We were there a couple of years ago but did not stay long enough. We hope to get back out there someday. Thanks for posting the pictures.
Gulls are incredibly noisy!
I absolutely love that first photo, with those colours in the sky.
Thank you, on behalf of the Team.
Lovely!

Love Mono Lake and the tufas. We were there for the first time just a few months ago. Totally fascinating.
good evening. and it is a good EVENING post.
I've never seen it at dusk, either. Both times I've been there the day has been bright. Love this view!
