Even the desert has ponds, usually called an oasis. This pond is at the Living Desert Reserve in Palm Desert, CA. I used to love to go there and just sit and smell their pond (and watch the ducks)! It was very relaxing.

Isn't a place like that called an oasis. When I lived in Arizona, you'd find riparian corridors in the center of a large desert basin.
