I took this photo in the eastern Sierras, off Highway 395, at the Owens Gorge Road. I love those mailboxes and every time we travel to the Sierras, we drive by them just to see them!

Mono Lake shoreline~Sunday Stills Challenge~101913

Last June, after school was over for the summer, hubby and I headed up to the eastern Sierra for a week of R&R.  We try to get up there at least once every summer and we are finding that we are staying longer and longer.  It used to be 4 days, then 5, then 6, and then it was 8.  We enjoy every minute there.

One afternoon we drove out to Mono Lake, the south tufa.  You can take a short walk from the parking lot out to the lake.  There were quite a few photographers there that afternoon (see the clouds?)  The clouds make for such interesting photos!

So, here are a few of my photos from Mono Lake for Sunday Stills, October 19, 2013.  To visit SS, please go to:  http://sundaystills.wordpress.com/

Great shots, and the clouds and contrails certainly adds to the scenery.
