I took this photo in the eastern Sierras, off Highway 395, at the Owens Gorge Road. I love those mailboxes and every time we travel to the Sierras, we drive by them just to see them!

"O"~ABC Wednesday, October 28, 2009

Bodie is an old mining town in the Sierras, near Bridgeport, CA. We visited Bodie on two different days last August. The first time was in the afternoon. We returned the next morning. As an old mining town, Bodie took ORE (gold and silver) out of the ground. Here are some pics of Bodie, CA. ABC Wednesday for October 28, 2009.

Nice post, - the photos look very familiar to what one would see in B.C. in old mining towns.

A very interesting little mining town from the past...beautiful captures for the letter "O". "Ore" for the letter "O".

Ore, a great idea...
I just love coming to all the different ABC Wednesday posts and seeing what everyone comes up with.

Love Bodie. Isn't it fascinating? Great pictures. The sky is always so blue up there.

Exciting to see how your October is. Here it is cold and soon I think it will snow :)

Have a nice day :)

I thought the WHEEL was going to be the O. Suppose it still could be. Nice.

Great pics! We looked for old ghost towns in Nevada but didn't find any ... only 'ghost towns' which were still lived in with old buildings next to new.

I love yours!
