I took this photo in the eastern Sierras, off Highway 395, at the Owens Gorge Road. I love those mailboxes and every time we travel to the Sierras, we drive by them just to see them!

Signs of Fall~Sunday Stills Challenge 092709

There are few visible signs of fall here in the desert, although the days are getting shorter. Last night was cooler, but yesterday it was 109 degrees here. UGH! We are ALL tired of summer! By this next week, however, we should be down to double digit temperatures and nighttime temps in the 60's, not the 80's or high 70's. HOWEVER, last fall we did make it up to Oak Glen in time for the opening of apple season, so I went to my archives to find photos from that weekend and here they are. Aren't the apples gorgeous?
